Museum on Wheels
PTC is very excited to have the Sankofa African Museum on Wheels exhibit on our campus. The exhibit will be in our Library on February 16th from 11 am until 4 pm. Sankofa will include many historical artifacts. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome. We hope you will take a few minutes to visit the exhibit.
Attention, academic program coordinators/directors, department heads, and deans: A drop-in scheduler training session will be available Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 12:30-1:30PM in room 209F (Greenwood Campus). Feel free to drop-in for assistance with any issue related to scheduling classes in Banner.
Our library has pulled together some works by phenomenal writers in recognition and celebration of Black History Month. If you are on-campus, take a few minutes to browse the collection and perhaps discover a new favorite author.

L-term is right around the corner, so this AVID Teaching Tip is a reminder to get to know your students’ names as quickly as possible. This is “an effective way to create a positive first impression and establish initial rapport with the class” (Cuseo and Shapiro 12). Online introductions are also helpful to foster first impressions. Take some time to build get-to-know-you activities into your online and hybrid classes, too, to strengthen relational capacity.
