This scenario-based professional-development session is designed to help faculty and staff be more “trauma informed” and help us to recognize the signs of trauma. In this session, participants will better understand the impact of traumatic experiences on students, look at the impact of trauma on the brain, share best practices for working with students, review myths and facts about trauma experiences, and have interactive discussions on applicable scenarios.

  • October 12th, 1-2:30PM, room 119K, live session on the Greenwood Campus – 20 seats available.
  • January 5th, tentatively scheduled from 10-11:30AM, virtual – 40 seats available.
