Friday SLO Talks is a weekly space where educators, administrators, and higher education professionals come together to explore learning beyond traditional metrics like course completion and degree attainment. Hosted by the California Outcomes Assessment Coordinators’ Hub (COACHES), these discussions focus on what really matters—skill development and competency mastery. Each session highlights practical strategies for assessing student learning outcomes (SLOs) in ways that go beyond compliance and accreditation, helping educators create meaningful, measurable learning experiences. Whether you’re a faculty member, program coordinator, or institutional leader, Friday SLO Talks offers actionable insights to refine teaching practices and support student growth. Join us every Friday on Zoom and be part of a community dedicated to redefining education through skill-based learning.

With fewer or no remedial courses, students get near the finish line faster and with far less debt.
