Have you worked to integrate affordable learning into your classroom(s) by choosing no-cost or low-cost course materials? If so, you may be eligible for the PAL Award. For more information about the PAL Award, please review the information provided on the South Carolina Affordable Learning (SCALE) website: https://pascalsc.libguides.com/scale/faculty/pal.
As noted in the October 27, 2022 OER Newsletter, “The debut issue of the Journal of Open Educational Resources in Higher Education (JOERHE), an open peer-reviewed journal, published by the University of Wyoming Libraries, just launched. JOERHE features eight peer-reviewed articles, two columns, and one resource review. The peer-reviewed literature is published alongside its review.”
OERs (Open Educational Resources) are not just books. They can be any educational material for teaching, learning, and research that are “intentionally created and licensed at low cost/no cost for the end user to own, share, and in most cases, modify” (Creating Killer OERs).
